Affinity Health and Wellness revolutionizes the way companies and individuals define and manage health care.

By extending the health care value chain to include often neglected, yet equally important areas, such as quality dental care and preventive vaccination, we are able to provide health care programs and products that are not only cost-effective long term, but also transform employee health benefit programs from one that is focused on disease management and life preservation, to one that aspires for disease prevention and life enhancement.

With the rising pressures and perils of modern life, and the rising health care costs that accompany it, it is absolutely necessary that we change our health care management system to include wellness concepts and disease-preventive measures.

It is equally necessary that we change the delivery of these health and wellness products, by using the place of work as the primary distribution channel, so that the delivery of such is not only accessible, it is mandatory.

Vision

The vision of Affinity is to revolutionize employee health management in the Philippines, by making disease-preventive health and wellness solutions an integral and mandatory part, thereby raising the standard of living of all Affinity constituents.

Our Advocacy, Our Mission

What this ambition requires first and foremost is a revolutionary change in everyone’s way of thinking. A change in the way individuals exercise accountability for their own health and well-being, and a change in the way employers approach health care management.

Today’s employee health care programs focus on treating the disease rather than preventing them, neglecting important aspects of health care, as well as health and wellness advocacy. So we asked, what is being done to change the health care system? In trying to answer this question, we not only found an opportunity; we found our advocacy.

There has been a lot of noise around holistic and integrated health and wellness programs, but they have been scattered, hard to grasp, inaccessible and more importantly, their costs have been prohibitive to the majority of people. In addition, no one has made it their task to professionalize these efforts and devise a system to make such programs affordable.

It is this gap that is preventing health and wellness practices from being ingrained and entrenched into the individual and collective consciousness. And it is this gap that Affinity Health and Wellness aims to fill.

This is a huge and ambitious project and there’s a lot of work to do. Health and wellness as a concept and practice is still in its infancy stage in the Philippines. This is a movement that we hope to begin. The general principles of care for oneself and wellbeing affect you on an individual basis, and effect change on a larger, community scale.

The New Direction of Health and Wellness: A Collaborative Approach

Health and Wellness is a concept that is certainly wide in scope and still in its infancy stage here in the Philippines. It is yet to be understood, grasped and experienced in practical, meaningful ways by a much bigger audience.

As such, we have made it our advocacy to not only professionalize health and wellness programs, but to bring together scattered and disparate efforts by different groups, into one concrete whole, and be the conduit for these efforts to reach a mass market, thereby creating consciousness.

We have partnered with several groups who promote health care, both traditional and non-traditional, from pharmaceutical companies and dental professionals, to nutritionists, alternative healing experts and yogis.

We want to collect the resources of all these groups and put them into action through Affinity. The uniting principle is our conviction that proactive health and wellness practices can enhance the lives of everyone, from healthy individuals to cancer patients, from your employees to their community of loved ones.

In the end, we are working to extend such health and wellness techniques to a range of day to day practical exercises, and to a wider audience.

We tout the benefits of office-based programs, particularly to reach what we feel are “underserved” individuals, or individuals who ordinarily don’t get access because of prohibitive costs of such programs and products.

What distinguishes Affinity Health and Wellness from its peers is that we use the workplace as the primary distribution channel for our products and solutions. Through this unique business model, we are able to achieve a number of things.

First, we are able to augment our corporate clients’ Employee Benefit Programs, so that they are more valuable to employees. This fosters a stronger feeling of affinity between the employees and their employers.

Second, because our health and wellness programs seek to challenge the definition of health care from merely being curative, to being preventive, we are able to help corporate clients control and slow the rapidly increasing costs of health care.
